“Whether architecture or landscape – urban or rural – how elements such as building structure, material texture and light work together provide a captivating subject matter. These forms create dynamic, abstract shapes with layers of shadow and dramatic light.”
Louise Gough studied Fine Art specialising in photography and printmaking. Architecture has always been a recurring theme in her work.
She has worked for many year’s within PR and marketing for the built environment working with a range of clients from suppliers through to architects, interior designers, developers and associations.
Louise is now focussing on her architectural photography helping clients showcase their projects.
In 2019, Louise won the architectural narrative category of the BluePrint Architecture Photography Awards for her image of 20 Katharine Street.
Her personal projects for art exhibitions still use architecture as the theme with documenting the change in her hometown a key focus.
For her Fine Art photography, it’s quite often about illustrating the beauty of brutalist architecture and the complex series of shapes, depths and surfaces that create a unique piece of work within the frame.
