No time like the present
Developing my portfolio after a number of years has been a fascinating process. Relooking at work from university days I’m reminded that my passion for architecture as a subject matter has always been there. Fast forward to the present, and my journey of developing my portfolio, architectural photography skills and being that artist I studied to be is now a reality.
Influenced by urban structures and the striking detail that quite often go undetected in an evolving and fast moving world. And, appreciating and finding that beauty in the detail of the building is a glorious moment. If you know Croydon, where I was born and still live, you’ll know what that means. When you stalk a building because of its ever-changing façade due to sunlight at different times of the day. When you know there’s a material theme that runs through the core of your town and every now and then it appears where you lest expect it – that’s a dream.
So, you’ll see that my images I display here will be architecturally led. But, I will delve into the detail so you can visualise the shapes and graphic lines created by sunlight and shadow reflecting on glass, concrete and brick so that it elevates the beauty of the building beyond its original form.
