A Journey Through Brutalism

A Journey Through Brutalism

Two pieces of my photography from the series ‘Effect of Sunlight’ will be part of The Journey Through Brutalism exhibition at Rise Gallery, Croydon from 22 February 2018 for a month. This exhibition presents artistic homages to the versatile architectural form through a wide range of media.

My two ‘Leon Abstracts’ will be on display alongside other artwork celebrating brutalist architecture and all its concrete beauty.

In my pieces, building structure, material texture and light combine to create a series of dynamic abstract shapes. As a Croydon local, the brutalist architecture is a constant source of inspiration, awe and delight. How every day can reveal hidden gems from the past through the simplicity of shadows cast and light reacting to concrete.

So, add the date to your diary and pop into Rise Gallery, 7-9 St.George’s Walk, Croydon.
