Case studies for architect & design community
With the current crisis, social distancing and working from home, the architectural photography community as we know it has changed significantly.
For photographers usually photographing projects globally that's at a current standstill and for others, like myself, with a focus on London and South London, the need for architectural photography isn't the necessity right now. It's important to stay home and protect the NHS.
Photography led case study
Architectural photography is still a vital element for architects, developers, construction firms to showcase their work, especially in these times. While some construction sites have continued over this period, photography less so which impacts on marketing.
So, what can be done now in terms of marketing so that you can maintain your presence in the virtual world to keep your company and current projects top of mind for potential jobs in the future?
If you haven't already embarked on writing case studies of your projects, then now is the time. Any photography conducted should ideally be accompanied by detailed content to give insight into your process, the design, challenges and how you overcame these. Potential clients want to understand how you work collaboratively therefore having a detailed written case study with accompanying images is a great piece of marketing collateral.
But, if photography right now is on hold, how can you create this package of information?
If you've been sharing images of your projects on social media, then you will have a bank of photos that you can use. What's key is that you use this time now to perhaps review this library and see which you can develop into a wider case study.

Architectural Photographer Louise Gough also has a wealth of PR and marketing experience working with clients within the Architect & Design community including suppliers, contractors, developers, architects. With this expertise she is able to create a case study to accompany your photography based on an interview with you or information you email.
This case study can then feature on your website, re-purposed for social media and used in email marketing.
