Blueprint Architecture Photography Award Winner

Blueprint Architecture Photography Award Winner

I'm delighted to have won the Architectural Narrative category at the Blueprint Architecture Photography Awards 2019

Being based in Croydon, the evolving skyline is a constant focus of mine due to the phenomenal change. Most recently, St George’s Walk and the surrounding buildings have been my muse.

This winning image forms part of my wider study of St George’s Walk, I wanted to capture the detail of the brutalist era architecture, which is often overlooked by people. This building has recently been demolished but I wanted to capture it during its final hours and really highlight the beauty of the concrete geometry and how it frames the stunning street art. This art formed part of the Rise Gallery Street Art festival of September 2018 - this sadly was the final days of the building, but so pleased it has been recognised at these awards.
