10x10 Stratford – Article 25 charity auction

It has been an absolute privilege to take part in this year’s 10x10 Drawing the City London which focusses on Stratford. This is Article 25’s flagship charity event of the year and sees architects, designers and artists produce a piece of artwork from a specific area of London divided into a 10x10 grid. That’s right, 100 squares = 100 unique pieces of artwork which all help raise money for this architectural charity.

This year’s neighbourhood centres around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and gives focus to the legacy of the 2012 Games. So, five years on, why not check out the artwork in the online auction and relive those wonderful memories with a unique piece of art and help raise money for Article 25 in the process. But hurry, the auction takes place on Monday 20 November 2017.

My square was centred around Drapers Field, a wonderful recreational ground with striking landscape architecture contributing to the children’s play area. My piece focusses on the bold sign made up of curved mirrors which welcomes visitors to the field. It reflects the equipment and landscape causing a distortion and myriad of abstract shapes.

Article 25 is an architectural charity working on projects that improve health and livelihoods for some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
